Andreas “Andrew” Edward Leistner, was born 16 June 1883 in Blackcreek Township, Mercer County, Ohio, the son of Johann & Leanna Leistner. [1] This surname was occasionally spelled Leisner in Zion Chatt’s records.
His parents, John (1845-1917) and Leanna (Hinton) Leistner (1848-1928), were married in Mercer County, Ohio, 23 March 1873. [2] John and Leanna are buried in Kessler Cemetery, just south of Chatt.
Andrew had a twin sister, Annie E., [1] who married a Case. [3]
Andrew died 14 December 1887 and was buried on the 16th.
Andrew’s burial record is the only information recorded about him in Zion Chatt’s records.
