Hi Karen, I do not know if you remember me from high school, i am Nancy Stetler’s younger sister, graduating in 1971… I have just retired and am now working on my family tree…I do not know where to start! I have been gathering info on relatives most of the summer and have visited several cemeteries. I am puzzles as to why i cannot find a deceased infant aunt, Merle Stetler, who is buried in the Wren cemetery….She is not listed with all of the others that are buried in Wren.. Any idea who i should contact?

    thanks Karen! Brenda

    1. Hi Brenda! Yes, I do remember you. Welcome to the world of genealogy. You will find that it is a fun and very addicting hobby. I was able to look at Merle Stetler’s death certificate on FamilySearch and you are correct. It stated that she was to be buried in Wren Cemetery. Have you walked through the cemetery or have you only checked indexes? If the tombstone is not there, it may not have survived or she may have had only a temporary marker. If other family members are buried there I would look near their gravestones and see if there is an unmarked plot. Some cemeteries also have an infant section. You might check that. Karen
